| Roach Attachment |
The Roach attachment is a connector element for removable prostheses that is designed for extracoronal processing and has limited activation. Its range of applications includes interdental insertion prostheses and bilateral cantilever prostheses. Unilateral application is contraindicated. In a corresponding situation, both vertical translation (downward movement) and distal rotation (hinge movement) may be required. The Roach attachment comprises a slotted sleeve (female unit) made from a gold-platinum alloy and a spherical male unit made from HSL, a high-fusing castable gold-platinum alloy.
