ShadeStar was developed for digital shade taking of natural teeth in direct cooperation with dentists and dental laboratories.

Hold the mouthpiece over the lens. Secure it by turning it oneeighth of a turn. Press the measurement button to turn on the unit.

Place the unit in its cradle.

Press the measurement button to calibrate the unit.
Once calibrated, remove the unit from its cradle.

Install the single-use protective cover, ensuring that the cover encloses the unit completely.

Hold the unit against the patient's tooth so that the opening of the mouthpiece is flush with the tooth surface. Press the measurement button to perform the measurement.

The shade that was determined is shown on the display. If no shade within the selected shade system corresponds to the shade found, you may switch to an alternative shade system.
